How to use Mock Data Generator

When developing software, testing APIs, or creating demos, you often need bulk "fake data" to populate your database. Writing this manually is tedious. This tool helps you generate realistic test data in seconds.

  1. Define Fields: Add fields in the configuration area above. E.g., ID, Name, Email.
  2. Choose Type: Select the appropriate data type for each field. We have built-in mock rules.
  3. Set Count: Enter the number of rows you need (Max 1000).
  4. Generate: Click "Generate Preview" to see the first 20 rows immediately.
  5. Export: Once satisfied, download in your preferred format (JSON/CSV/SQL).

FAQ

Is this tool completely free?
Yes, it is 100% free with no usage limits.
Which databases does the SQL support?
We generate standard SQL `INSERT` statements, which are compatible with MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, SQL Server, and most other relational databases.
Can I define complex logic?
We provide built-in common types. For extremely complex relationship logic, custom scripting is recommended. However, for 90% of UI testing scenarios, this tool is sufficient.
Why is there a 1000 row limit?
To ensure browser performance. Since all data generation happens locally in your browser, extremely large datasets could cause the page to freeze.
Are the names and addresses real?
No. All data is randomly assembled fake data. Do not use it for real business verification (e.g., do not try to send emails to these addresses).
How to download as Excel?
You can download the CSV format. CSV is a universal spreadsheet format that can be opened and edited directly in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or Apple Numbers.
Can I use it offline?
Yes. Once the page is loaded, you can disconnect from the internet and continue using all functions.
Is the generated JSON standard?
Yes, the JSON is standard and organized as an Array of Objects, making it ideal for use as API response data.
